Hi

After a marathon eight weeks federal election, I'm sure everyone is about ready to crawl under a rock. Hopefully, some normality can return after, with the turn of the new financial year.

The team here at Expressway Signs have had an exceptional year. But the most significant achievement has been the qualification of two of our apprentices and the signing up of our next apprentice. Bringing young kids through is essential and the team at Expressway Signs is absolutely committed to empowering people with opportunity and education.

Happy EOFY and good luck for the next from all the team here at Expressway Signs.

Do's and Don'ts of Vehicle Graphics

Vehicle Graphics are your mobile billboard. Vehicle graphics have a 97% recall rate and are more effective than traditional outdoor advertising*.

Vehicle Graphic Do's
  • Use an experienced vehicle graphics designer to create the original version of the image and text.

  • Prepare an image that works appropriately with the vehicle.

  • Review the graphic provider's financial strength and developmental support tools.

  • Consider and communicate durability requirements.

  • Understand the value-added resources available from a supplier.

Vehicle Graphic Don'ts

  • Do not base a decision exclusively on price. Numerous variables influence durability.

  • Do not have different designs on a variety of body styles.

  • Never put too much info or clutter within the graphic marketing display.

  • Avoid complicated designs that can present difficulties in installation and matching reprints.

  • Don't allow anything to be produced without first previewing full-size art or a proof.

  • Never use dark image colours on dark vehicle colours.

"I would like to praise Expressway Signs and their team on a perfect vehicle wrap for the Cairns Radiology.
The design and artwork was followed, right down to the minute details to get it exactly right, which the result shows.

Expressway Signs has applied numerous of our designs to signage projects, banners, large format printing etc... and I can only recommend them - HIGHLY."

A plastics recycling plant for Cairns!

FNQ Plastics, the leading plastics fabricator in the Far North, has been in the process of launching a plastics recycling plant in Cairns, that will be capable of handling all types of plastic. This means that our plastic waste no longer has to be shipped down south but can be recycled up here and made into products such as garden beds and bollards. Not only will this new plant reduce landfill and costs for freight, but it will also create new jobs that are so desperately needed.

FNQ Plastics are currently looking for sponsors and need community support to make their dream a reality.

We would like to encourage you to get behind this local business and their project and help Cairns to a more sustainable future.

For more information and to show your support, go to facebook.com/fnqplastics and share or like their video and posts regarding the recycling plant.
