Hi

Welcome customers and friends of Expressway Signs. If you're like me you'll be wondering how on Earth we are almost at the midpoint of the calendar year. Where has 2015 gone or is it all just a mirage?

The Team here at Expressway Signs have been very busy. We are extremely excited to announce some massive changes that you will see over the next few months.

Firstly we are REBRANDING. After years of maintaining our old logo with a few little tweaks every now and again we've listened to what we tell others and we have gone the full hog. We have a new logo, new building signage, new vehicle graphics, new website, new social media strategy and new allegiances with sporting and community clubs. In a nut shell we will still be EXPRESSWAY, but we will look and feel sharper. This is something we are all very excited about here and we hope to show it all off to you very soon.

Secondly we have made some massive changes internally with our staff. Josephine our wonderful Design Team Leader is taking a sabbatical and she's been replaced with David Bing who's no stranger to our team. David moves from our Projects Team to be the Design team Leader.

We've also brought on-board with us Glenn Anderson who is no stranger to signage in Cairns having successfully run his own business in Cairns for 20 years.

We're also investing significantly in the future of Cairns and the signage industry in general by taking on a new apprentice and we are currently bringing ALL of our staff up to a minimum Cert 3 qualification across the board.

They say a change is as good as a holiday so if you want to look and feel as good as we do then give us a call on
07 4035 4113 and we'll make you LOOK BETTER, LAST LONGER and COST LESS.

Take care

Understanding the Value of Signage

An effective on-premise sign is critical component of visibility

  • Signage develops a memory for a location and the products or services available at the location.

  • Signage reinforces a memory and extends recall of other advertising efforts.

  • Signage attracts new customers by prompting first-time or impulse visits or purchases.

  • Signage modifies customary purchase decisions or habits. Changeable copy and temporary window signs are especially effective in encouraging variation from accustomed consumption patterns.

In a study at 162 southern California locations of a major fast-food chain, it has been found that

  • On average, one additional on-premise sign resulted in an increase in annual sales revenues of 4.75%. This translates to a $23,750 increase in average sales revenues for a typical store in the study group with annual sales of $500,000.

  • On average, one additional on-premise sign increased the annual number of transactions by 3.93%. This translates into more than 3,900 additional transactions for a store with an annual average of 100,000 transactions.

  • On average, one additional 36-square-foot wall sign added $0.06 per transaction, while one additional 144-square-foot pole sign added $0.78 per transaction.
